Murray Drew is an Australian artist born in Brisbane in 1964.
After sailing North in his small yacht "Ruby" and spending several years afloat discovering the beauty and richness of the Queensland coast for himself, he lived for 10 years in Far North Qld and began to fulfill his long time dream of painting and sculpting.
In May 2000, Murray, his wife Julie and two children Ruby & Jack, moved to the Sunshine Coast in South-east Queensland where they live in the Noosa hinterland .
Murray's work varies from comical outback landscapes on canvas to abstract furniture and sculpture pieces. His work has been exhibited in galleries in Cairns, Port Douglas, Mossman, Lakes Entrance, Eumundi , Mooloolaba ,Montville, Noosa and Kingscliff.. A number of commercial commissions have been completed for companies including the Tweed Heads Bowls Club, Travel Online Brisbane and the Goanna Bar, Port Douglas. In 2001 Murray's painting "To The Beach" received a highly commended award at the Maroochy Arts Festival.
